The Waterloo, 8-1/2 tons, was built in New York by Westervelt and MacKey in 1845 and was in service until 1845.
Samuel Walters was one of the most accomplished ship painters of the 19th C. His works are displayed at the City of Liverpool Academy; Mariner Museum in Newport News, VA; The Peabody Museum, Salem, MA; Camden Public Library, ME; India House, NYC; Mystic Seaport Museum; New York Historical Society; and other museums.
