Highly developed architectural case entirely of white oak, with swan-neck top and central flame finial, carved floral decoration in the upper corners, flanking columns with brass capitals and bases, tombstone door, resting on bracket feet. The unsigned brass face is highly decorated with engraved foliate designs and cherubs, non-working calendar wheel. Extremely rare 21-30 day works. Works signed Killgoune, Inverness, a clockmaker identified in G. H. Baille's Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World as working in Inverness, Scotland, and in London around 1775, dying in 1837.
